MADS HANSEN

Managing & Founding Partner

HEAD OF INVESTMENTS

  • A Danish national with 20 years of private equity investment experience and a strong track record of investing and building teams.

    Until recently a Partner at Hg Capital where Mads has been focused on software investments from the firm’s large cap fund, Saturn. Mads was the first Partner to join Saturn Founder and Senior Hg Partner Nic Humphries and was also a member of Hg’s fintech and compliance clusters.

    Mads has sat on multiple boards across Europe, including the world’s largest privately held software company, Visma.

    Mads is long-term resident of SW London where he lives with his wife and two kids. He enjoys various kinds of physical activity such as hiking and running (while listening to investment focused podcasts) and also still plays, admittedly at a leisurely pace, 11-aside football on the weekends. When he can find the time, he enjoys reading biographies and various kinds of political commentary and history related material.

BEN SHEPHERD

HEAD OF VALUE CREATION

  • 25 years as a tech and data business operator & advisor across product, strategy, innovation, and M&A roles.

    Prior to Triple, Ben was the Chief Product, Strategy, and M&A Officer at Refinitiv where he eventually architected the carve out and sale of the business to the London Stock Exchange Group, and joined the Exec Team.  Ben was also a Partner with Oliver Wyman advising in tech, ops, and data segments, where he still has a role today.

    Ben also sits on several private ‘Fin&Risk Tech’ boards.

    Ben lives in Kent, UK, with his wife, three children, and Olive the dog. Outside of Triple, Ben 'coaches' several early stage 'FinTechs' on market entry, pricing, partnerships, and talent. Ben enjoys outdoor pursuits including mountain biking, hiking, and sea-swimming. He is also a keen woodworker and cabinet maker.

BRIAN NORDLUND

COO

  • Brian has spent 19 years in the private markets space, first as a consultant, then as an LP and more recently helping to establish new alternative asset managers. Prior to Triple, Brian was the COO at Nordic Investment Opportunities where he led the operation team and was responsible for professionalising a newly established alternative asset manager. Brian was also a Partner at PKA AIP, one of the largest pension funds in Denmark, where he led the Private Funds team and was responsible for a global annual investment program of $800m.

    Brian lives in Copenhagen with his family. When not traveling between Copenhagen and London, Brian likes to travel to more exotic parts of the world, which combines well with his passion for photography.

RACHAEL ROGERS

HEAD OF HR & PORTFOLIO TALENT

  • Rachael has spent 20 years working in the HR space and is an experienced global HR leader, providing proactive, commercially focused HR support and advice to clients in the UK, Europe and US. Rachael will handle internal Triple HR matters but will also be the firm’s lead on ESG issues as well as playing a key role within the value creation strategy. Rachael will build out HR and ESG practices within the Triple portfolio companies post acquisitions and especially in a carve-out situation. Rachael will also take the lead on hiring plans in portfolio companies. Prior to Triple, Rachel was the Head of HR at Hg Capital and held senior HR leadership positions at Sotheby’s Inc and Serco Plc and is a Chartered Member of the CIPD.

    Rachael lives in London with her husband. Outside of Triple, Rachael mentors women wanting to develop within private equity and financial services. Rachael enjoys skiing, follows rugby and netball and also regularly goes to music and comedy gigs.

TOM LUKER

DIRECTOR, INVESTMENTS

  • Tom sits in the Investment Team at Triple largely focused on finding and leading investments.

    He’s spent approaching 15 years working with software and data companies in financial markets, information and technology sectors, predominantly in an investment and M&A capacity.

    Most recently Tom was Co-head of Corporate Development with LSEG plc, leading the team responsible for all M&A and investment activities globally. Prior to this, Tom worked with Experian plc in M&A and across other operational roles.

    Tom received a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Southampton.

    Outside of Triple, Tom is an investor and advisor in a handful of early stage fintech and healthtech start-ups. In his spare time, Tom enjoys travelling with his wife, playing golf when he can, and running and cycling to keep fit and healthy.

ANDY WHITAKER

PRINCIPAL, INVESTMENTS

  • Andy is a Principal in Triple's Investments team and has 10 years of experience in strategy, M&A and corporate development in financial markets infrastructure and data.

    Prior to Triple, Andy was a Director in London Stock Exchange Group's Corporate Development team where he supported all aspects of inorganic activity, including M&A pipeline development, appraisal and deal execution. He was also actively involved in establishing and managing LSEG's portfolio of strategic minority equity investments in growth stage businesses.

    Andy lives in West London with his wife. Outside of Triple, Andy has a keen interest in sports as an avid Liverpool FC fan and enjoys skiing, running and following rugby. Andy is also a CFA Charterholder.

SHIVANI SHETH

ASSOCIATE, INVESTMENTS & VALUE CREATION

  • Shivani is an Associate at Triple, supporting the Investment and Value Creation teams in evaluating opportunities and helping management teams to grow their businesses.

    Prior to Triple, Shivani worked at Aurelius, supporting on a range of platform and add-on opportunities across various industries.

    Shivani also worked in strategy consulting for over two years, working on commercial due diligence projects and strategy engagements for private equity clients and management teams.

    She graduated with a first-class BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science. In her spare time, Shivani enjoys travelling and experiencing new cultures, paddleboarding and playing badminton, and exploring the latest restaurants across London.

ANNALISA AMADIO

DIRECTOR, VALUE CREATION

  • Annalisa has 10 years experience in strategy consulting with Bain & Company and internal strategy & M&A for major data companies and exchanges such as Refinitiv, London Stock Exchange and Deutsche Boerse (Qontigo).

    Annalisa most recently worked at Qontigo (part of Deutsche Boerse) as Head of Strategy and prior to that at the London Stock Exchange and Refinitiv in Strategy & M&A. During her tenure at Refinitiv she was part of the deal team involved in the $27bn sale of the company to London Stock Exchange, with major focus on commercial due diligence and revenue synergies. She also developed the Refinitiv M&A pipeline and led minority investments, such as ModuleQ.

    She holds a Master in International Management from Bocconi University.

    Anna lives in south-east London with her husband. Outside of Triple, Anna is part of several expert networks such as Guidepoint, with focus on financial services. Furthermore, Anna is a certified yoga teacher and enjoys multiple sports such as skiing, running, and swimming. Anna is a keen traveller, the last adventure being the Inca Trail in Peru!

SAM CAMPBELL

PRINCIPAL, VALUE CREATION

  • Sam is a Principal in the Value Creation team, responsible for evaluating transactions and helping Management teams to grow their businesses.

    Before Triple, Sam worked at the London Stock Exchange Group where he advised the executive leadership team on major strategic and business planning areas, such as LSEG’s partnership with Microsoft.

    He was also responsible for the execution of LSEG’s M&A strategy, working on multiple transactions including the acquisition of Refinitiv.

    Sam also worked for 3 years in strategy consulting advising mid-market investors and Management teams on transactional and growth strategy, supporting on 20+ transactions.

    He graduated with a BA in History from King’s College London and a MSc in Management from University College London.

    Sam lives in South London and has lived in London for over 12 years. Outside of Triple, Sam enjoys mentoring students and recent graduates focused on developing their careers in finance and the City. Sam has a keen interest in sport and enjoys playing golf, training to improve his marathon PB and supporting Aston Villa.

RACHAEL TAPPIN

EA & OFFICE MANAGER

  • Rachael has 11 years’ experience as an Executive Assistant providing C-Suite service at an Executive Committee level in the information technology and financial services industries. Before Triple, Rachael worked at the London Stock Exchange and Refinitiv.

    Rachael lives in Essex with her husband and two children. Outside of Triple, she loves to travel, horse ride and spend time with her young children. Rachael is also fluent in British Sign Language providing interpreting support for the deaf community.

PHIL COTTER

SENIOR RISK PORTFOLIO ADVISOR

  • Phil has over 40 years’ experience, in building solutions to manage consumer and SME credit risk, fraud and identity with extensive experience of leading global teams to serve global customers and a strong track record of building and leading fast growing businesses.

    Most recently Phil, was Group Head of Customer and Third-Party Risk at LSEG, a market leader in data and analytics to support customers in meeting their regulatory requirements in the areas of financial crime, customer due diligence, and fraud prevention. Under his leadership revenues increased five-fold.

    Phil also served as Interim Group Head of Product Solutions, for the data and analytics division of LSEG, where he was responsible for leading the product teams across Enterprise Data, Benchmark and Indices, Wealth and Sustainable Investment delivering combined annual revenues of c£3bn.

    Prior to LSEG, Phil led the Risk business within Thomson Reuters and Refinitiv before its acquisition by LSEG. Before this Phil was with Experian for 15 years, where he led the UK Credit Services division which included the core Consumer Credit Bureau business and was the Global Leader for Business Information solutions.

    Phil started his career with HFC Bank, learning how to lend money to consumers and SME’s and perhaps more importantly how to get it back. He held a number of sales leadership roles before moving into managing some of the first call centre operations in the UK, deploying first generation real time automated credit decisioning technology.

    Phil has previously served as a non-executive director on the Board of Bisnode, the Swedish information company and successfully ran his own consultancy business.

ANDREW WEIR

SENIOR TECHNICAL ADVISOR

  • Andrew has spent over 30 years as a CTO and Senior Technologist in a range of businesses including Global Investment Banks (Deutsche Bank, UBS and HSBC), Energy Trading firms (BP) and Private Equity (Hg Capital). He has undertaken 100+ technical diligences and worked as an advisor to many software focused PE portfolio companies. Andrew and Mads spent time working together on numerous technology opportunities during Andrew’s time as a Technology Advisor to the firm. He holds a BA in Physics from Oxford University and a PhD from CalTech.

VICTORIA MEYER

SENIOR REGULATORY ADVISOR

  • A former head of forensic technology for PwC in Europe, Victoria is a forensic accountant and certified fraud examiner, specialising in financial crime compliance. Her 30 years of experience has covered investigations into money laundering and corruption, sanctions violations and war-time restitution. She currently focuses on the design and implementation of financial crime controls, where her work has supported many of the world's largest banks, as well as government agencies and the UN Security Council.
